Cremation has become an accepted choice for many individuals.

The crematorium at Lilydale Memorial Park was established in 1995 and offers peace of mind at every stage.

The process commences soon after the service, starting with the delivery of the coffin, and an identification check. Identification remains with the coffin at all times, operating as a failsafe procedure for security and accuracy.

The cremator operates at an extremely high temperature and takes just over an hour to convert to ash. After cooling, the ash is processed into finer particles and is carefully packaged and labelled.

All details are cross referenced and confirmed and cremated remains are held for period of up to 12 months.

Cremated remains may be returned to the family or interred and memorialised at a cemetery, where permanent records are held.
