Lasting memorials in timeless surrounds.
Memorial rose gardens are created and maintained by a team of dedicated staff, offering ideal settings for places of reflection. While most of the common areas are landscaped as native settings, memorial rose gardens are devoted to formal plantings.
Melba Rose Gardens at Lilydale Memorial Park, are landscaped with traditional plantings of roses, set in semi-circular rows. Pathways intersect the rows and lead to a central rotunda, made from the bricks of the original piece that stood in the main street of Lilydale for 60 years, and frequented by Dame Nellie Melba. Our reproduction builds on Lilydale's proud history, while providing a quiet outdoor space.
Rotunda Gardens is a central feature within Emerald Cemetery. This setting follows the style of the local countryside, featuring silver birch trees, established magnolia shrubs and seasonal bulbs such as tulips and daffodils.
